I was going through a tape of a story a photographer and I shot last week, and look what I found at the end! It’s an aircheck from election night 2000 — with Bush and Gore tied at 49%! CBS had just moved Florida back to “Too Close to Call.”

The people on that tape didn’t know what was about to happen.

And how old are these tapes we’re using, anyway?

This is a bag of “Mr. Nature” trail mix, which I bought out of the vending machine at work.

The name and logo look like those of a magazine for nudists (or, rather, naturists). I could also see it as a local outdoors TV show from the 1970s.

The trail mix is satisfying.

I missed his name.

It’s alongside the sidewalk at WRAL. It lasted one week.

Trevor’s 2008 practice of sitting on the front steps in the afternoon and reading a book was captured by Google’s Streetview camera.

Here she is very handily apt-getting and sudoing her way through my Asus Eee PC.
