Locked up in this head of mine
I just woke up after dreaming that I was flying in a boxy lounge-plane. It had turboprops on the wings and two jet engines at the tail.
As people moved around the lounge, the pilot had to switch engines. The props would turn off, and the plane would drop dramatically and travel backward while the pilot started the jets. Just above the trees, or sometimes in the front yard of a house, the jet thrust would kick in and we'd continue upward and forward.
I could hear the pilot laughing.
Another dream featured a large, gauche "nature preserve" on the other side of Fayetteville. It featured lots of weird animals and the faded paint of an aging childhood attraction. I think there was a buffet dinner. I sneaked in by driving softly above the trees.
At one point, I walked through a funhouse and fell into a pit of candy wrappers. The staff found me and forced me to buy a $53.68 ticket. It was already starting to get dark.

When I started working on-air, I switched my political affiliation to "Unaffiliated."
The downside: I get fund-raising mail from both sides. So many important-looking envelopes to throw away!
