The pinnacle of arrogance

So, I'm sitting around here, ready to make the first post to this blog.   It has been my experience that personal blogs are pretty worthless.  People usually take up heady topics, and I only want to hear heady opinions by accident or from professionals.  No amateur punditry.  It's pretty arrogant to think anyone cares about what you want to tell them.  If they don't take up a cause, then it's all about their family life, or perhaps 13 pages of some 20-year-old in Spokane describing her great philosophical angst.

Just so.  My premise is set: You don't care what I have to say about things.  I don't blame you, and I don't much care myself.

I'm starting this blog as a creative outlet for entertainment purposes only.  I promise there will be no heady opinions.  You won't read a political screed.  There will be no philosophical angst.  You will see a mix of things.  Some funny, some not.  I hope this happy place is a refuge of amusement in a world of hand-wringing and furrowed brows.

I will try some moblogging (mobile blogging).  I'll send some pictures from the wireless now and then.  I'll try some audioblogging.  I will use all means at my disposal to create something interesting and of some value to someone.  At the very least, the blog will stand as a rich source of archival information to settle disputes over dates.

The funniest part of being a frequent visitor here will be looking at how long I keep it up.
