Six months of blogging

The six-month anniversary of blogging here passed quietly July 31. Let's see how I've lived up to the vision set forth in my inaugural post:

...My premise is set: You don't care what I have to say about things. I don't blame you, and I don't much care myself.

I'm starting this blog as a creative outlet for entertainment purposes only. I promise there will be no heady opinions. You won't read a political screed. There will be no philosophical angst. You will see a mix of things. Some funny, some not. I hope this happy place is a refuge of amusement in a world of hand-wringing and furrowed brows.

I will try some moblogging (mobile blogging). I'll send some pictures from the wireless now and then. I'll try some audioblogging. I will use all means at my disposal to create something interesting and of some value to someone. At the very least, the blog will stand as a rich source of archival information to settle disputes over dates.

The funniest part of being a frequent visitor here will be looking at how long I keep it up.

You decide for yourself how successful this has been.* No audioblogging, yet. Mostly pictures. For a period of time, I forgot the blog existed. This is an inherent problem with blogs taking over the world. They are, for most people, at best (two qualifiers!), an afterthought.

I'm pleased to say that I've put exactly as much effort into this as I've wanted.

* There were no postings in the entire month of July.
